It’s back-to-school time, and it’s no different for my fur-baby Bean! Good Manners class started this week, and beginner agility kicks off soon. This means the doggie treat consumption here will go way up.
Instead of buying treats with mile-long ingredient lists, I started making my own. These treats are great for training and only have three ingredients. Best of all – Bean LOVES them!
The recipe originally came from eileenanddogs.
Chicken liver dog treats
1 cup chicken livers
1 cup tapioca flour
1 tbsp coconut oil
Preheat oven to 300 F. Blend everything in a food processor until smooth. Line an 8×8 in pan with parchment paper and pour in the batter. Bake 30 minutes or until done.
Lift the treat “cake” out of the pan with the parchment paper and let cool down. Then cut it into small treats with a pizza cutter or knife.
I store half in the fridge and freeze the rest for later.
